Looking Up...

I know it's been forever since I took time aside to write a blog entry.
I'm sorry.
It's been an extremely crazy month.
Fall came.
And with fall comes germs.
Loads of germs.

We have endured ear infections, walking pneumonia, full blown pneumonia, croup, and 2 rounds of stomach bugs.
This house is already ready for summer.

I hesitate to say everyone is slowly beginning to feel better because that normally means I eat my words. But as of today, things are starting to look up.

So whats new?

Landry turned 6 months this past Saturday.
No, he's still not sleeping through the night.
He is attached to mommy!

We have two teeth!! And he just started eating some banana's and green beans. :)

The older boys seem to be doing well.

Tripp is under going some tests to find out why he's so tired all the time but I have faith that God has his hands on him and everything will turn out okay. I hope we don't have to wait too long to get these results back. I hate seeing the little guy so pitiful. :(

Obama won his 2nd term as president. The election results have revealed a lot about people and a lack of faith among believers. Those who trust in the Lord should not fear. All of this doomsday stuff is ridiculous. The end is the goal! Amazing how much power we award man.

I could go on and on about that... but I wont. I know everyone has heard enough about it on twitter and facebook.

I've been dealing with a lot more flare up's with my gut issues. For the first time in a long time I'm wearing a size 2 pants. Normally I'd be stoked about this... but considering I'm loosing it in the worst possible way... it's not been such an enjoyable weight loss for me. :(
I'm doing as much research as possible to figure out how to "fix" it without being forced to stop breastfeeding.

I found a quote that got me thinking...

It made me realize that some days I would wake up with a whole lotta nothing. :(
I found that I take so many things for granted.
My children, my health, my husband, my family, my friends.
So I've been praying more. Praying for my family, and giving thanks even on days that are difficult for me. It's actually made a huge difference in the way I look at things. I feel so much more peace.

I've started the November Thankfulness. This is something I enjoy every year. Of course, this is posted on facebook... though I may add them to a blog entry at the end of the month. :)

I can't believe Thanksgiving is so close. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating New Years!
And Christmas will be following quickly.

I love Christmas!! Most years I spend the whole month of November stressed about Christmas shopping... this year Josh and I decided to start shopping for Christmas in July. We were completely done by the first of November. This year I plan to enjoy the things that makes Christmas my favorite holiday. Spending time with family, and celebrating Jesus' birthday.

So that's kinda where I've been lately. I will try harder to keep this blog up to date from now on. :)

Here are some random pictures for your viewing pleasure. :)

Morgan Ingram

There wil be another angel
Around the throne tonight
Your love lives on inside of me
And I will hold you tight.

It's not my place to question
Only God knows why
I'm just jealous of the angels
Around the throne tonight.

I have been reading this blog for the past few days... and my heart breaks for this family.
I wanted to do my part in getting the word out and hopefully bring closure and justice for this family... but most importantly for this beautiful girl, Morgan Ingram.

Please pass the word along.

Imagine being in their shoes right now.

Baby Book

Most know that I have OCD when it comes to my boys baby books.
I write down everything.

I can tell you the day each tooth broke skin on each child.
I can tell you the date they started crawling, their first words, when they dressed themselves for the first time, and every other detail of their life.
I have their umbilical stump and every piece of hair I could catch from their first haircut.

I love every aspect of those books.

And yet this year the same baby book that brought me so much joy over the years is now the same baby book that has caused me so much heartache.

My oldest son Zachary just started 1st grade. Today actually. And for the first time in 6 years, I have no space to add a 1st grade picture. The baby book is full. The last bit of information I have left to add is our first Zoo trip. We are making that trip this Sunday.

I can't believe the beautiful 8lb baby I brought home from the hospital is the same little boy I'm sending off to 1st grade. I always thought Kindergarten was going to be the hardest part for me.
Turns out, 1st grade is. In kindergarten he was still considered a "baby". I had a place in his baby book for that chapter of his life.

And so a new chapter begins.... whether I am ready for it or not....

Enjoy these photo's from Zachary's baby book. :)
Some are sideways... I'm going to work on fixing them.)
