Baby Book

Most know that I have OCD when it comes to my boys baby books.
I write down everything.

I can tell you the day each tooth broke skin on each child.
I can tell you the date they started crawling, their first words, when they dressed themselves for the first time, and every other detail of their life.
I have their umbilical stump and every piece of hair I could catch from their first haircut.

I love every aspect of those books.

And yet this year the same baby book that brought me so much joy over the years is now the same baby book that has caused me so much heartache.

My oldest son Zachary just started 1st grade. Today actually. And for the first time in 6 years, I have no space to add a 1st grade picture. The baby book is full. The last bit of information I have left to add is our first Zoo trip. We are making that trip this Sunday.

I can't believe the beautiful 8lb baby I brought home from the hospital is the same little boy I'm sending off to 1st grade. I always thought Kindergarten was going to be the hardest part for me.
Turns out, 1st grade is. In kindergarten he was still considered a "baby". I had a place in his baby book for that chapter of his life.

And so a new chapter begins.... whether I am ready for it or not....

Enjoy these photo's from Zachary's baby book. :)
Some are sideways... I'm going to work on fixing them.)

Wiggles Live!!

A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to see Wiggles Live.
The Wiggles have been a part of our life for almost 5 years now.
Zachary watched them as a toddler, and then Brennon watched them. When Tripp came along, naturally he started watching them too.
I must admit, it's one of the better shows that has made it's way in the hearts of our children.
So upon hearing this was their last tour, we knew regardless of price, we were going.

We bought the tickets back in March when they went on sale.
The concert wasn't until May 31st.

That Tuesday we loaded up the car, and started the drive to Atlanta, Ga.
Four children all under age 6 making a 4+ hour drive was not ideal.
To top things off, it was pouring down rain.

We made a stop by my sisters house and then back on the road.
It took us 6 hours to finally make it to Wiggles Live. We made it just in time for the show to start.

The kids had a blast. So did mama and daddy. In fact, Landry actually did well considering his schedule was WAY off. We nursed, danced, and played throughout the show.

Afterwards we met up with one of my best friends and her daughter. It was so nice seeing her again. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. God places people like her in your life for a reason. I feel honored to have a friend like her. :)
I can't wait to meet her newest addition coming soon! :)

Here are some pictures of our adventure. :)
Sorry for the picture overload.

We survived the madness! :)

My bestie Kimberely! :)
